Christine Hestwood is a choral conductor, music educator, and arts leader with more than 35 years of experience in Pittsburgh. She has led choirs ranging from elementary ensembles to festival choruses of more than 1,500 singers and is recognized for building programs and bringing large-scale choral projects to life.

Her work with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra began in 1994, when she coordinated a 2,000-voice high school chorus for its Centennial celebration. Since 2013, she has conducted the Hamlisch-Page Student Choir for an annual PSO Pops concert. She also collaborated with the late Robert Page on several major choral projects, including the All-University Choir and Music for the Spirit Chamber Choir, and coordinated Singing City, uniting more than 1,500 singers from across the region.

Christine served as Interim Choral Conductor of Duquesne University's Pappert Chorale in 2024 and previously taught music methods and supervised student teachers there. Her public school career included directing choral activities in the Upper St. Clair and Franklin Regional school districts, where she expanded programs, developed new courses, directed musicals, and founded Upper St. Clair's annual Madrigal Dinner.

She also spent ten years with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh as Assistant Conductor, Artistic Advisor, and Music Director of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir. Since 1996, she has served as Director of Music and the Arts at Westminster Presbyterian Church, leading its Chancel Choir and conducting professional orchestras.
