Intensive Elementary Italian (I & II)

This intensive course combines Elementary Italian I and Elementary Italian II in one semester. The course is designed for students with a good command of another Romance language. Using a proficiency-oriented approach, students will learn contextually appropriate interpersonal communication skills in both written and spoken Italian, develop reading and listening skills using various media, practice grammar and vocabulary and gain a general understanding of Italian culture through class activities. Regular homework, quizzes, tests, presentations and class participation are mandatory.
Students who are unsure whether this class fits their needs should contact the instructor. A student with prior experience in Italian must take a placement exam.
